ALPHABETICS:
The Daily, Active, Engaging Learning Station Letter Study Approach.
ALPHABETICS is a Daily, Active,"Hands-On" and "Minds-On" Learning Station Letter Study Approach. Your students will be actively engaged and making choices about their own learning by actively choosing and participating in teacher differentiated learning stations set up to achieve student mastery of the English alphabet.
ALPHABETICS within the first thirty five days of school. The first four days are set aside for students to learn the routines and procedures of coming to school and learning in a classroom. The next 26 days are set aside for learning the 26 letters of the alphabet. One new letter is studied each day with the goal being student mastery of letter recognition of the English alphabet. The final five days are set up for students to engage in their final Learning Stations focused on the letters of the English alphabet.
Your students will learn four or five letters a week depending on your school schedule. Then, during the proceeding week, your students will actively engage in choosing and participating in differentiated Learning Stations on the letters they were introduced to the preceding week. The Learning Stations will always lag the introduction of the letters by one week and will provide your students with the necessary "hands-on", "minds-on" repetition with their letters for them to master rapidity in letter recognition.
